The Unidentifiable Tajine
A conceptual project that was inspired by a personal life story of my class mate's grandfather. The story expresses the feelings of many of the immigrant Jews from Morocco and North Africa in the 1970s - the feeling of discrimination and the desire of Israeli society to remove the cultural identity with which immigrants arrived and create a new "Israeli".
The work was designed to convey this feeling and tell the story. The Tajine is a traditional Moroccan object, the cultural identity has been removed and it has been rebuild with concrete (concrete with rusty iron powder and paint powders).
